Can you help us map 2 milion global vilages capable of sustaining the earth - we use the word village to include geographical gravity or network gravity - eg http://searchtheresa.blogspot.com is a prototype village (and network for ideas around London) of cause networks conceived and natured by women or very deep care

More lower down on why Club of Village's overall mission will be cataloguing and connecting 2 million villages in:

  • rural places, often at the extermities of digital divides
  • amidst us in cities (illustration London, the city I happen to know deepest 0f 100 in 30 countries: 1 is where scenarios of world sector leadership are conceptualised by the people the country and commonwealth trust most, 2 (Aldwych region) and 3 (Euston Square region) are where people openly participate in listening to and testing the societal dynamics of these concepts, 4 (Angel Islington) and 5 (could be in any village cafe but Balham is one suitable place emerging or microfinancing womenworld's projects of deepest reconciliation out of London and across to countries in other hemispheres) is where deeper community links are connected across interlocal societies and through vilage level sustainability projects). If a city with potential impact on world trade, doesn't have each of these villages types flourisihing and transparently flowing into each other, I don't see how it can map into the premier league of knowledge collaboration cities 1. Its citizens need to see what type of vilage is missing and stand up to develop it if they want to be on a win-win-win exponential.
  • in DoD's cyberspace of netizens
I am delighted to be corrected -and better linked- but as far as I know elements of this forecast were first connected by Schumacher (2 million global villages), Gandhi (empowerment of women however much men's warring behaviours crowded a community or world), my father 1 2 (the 2010 forecast: whilst book-writing with me and deputy editing with The Economist in 1984)

For 22 years, as a media researcher, zero-conflict system valuation guy and mathematical mapmaker, I have been learning why these gravities matter if the human species is to be sustianed by nature and mammon much beyond the 21st Century, and why one benchmark on the sustaianable curve up to transparently networking 2 million global vilages in transparent goverance around the world will be linking netwizens and real communities through 30000 grassroots projects by 2010. If we don't achieve that deadline give or take a couple of years up to London's Olympics, then mathematically it will be nigh on impossible to chnage globaisation of badwill instead of ggod. This is a system endgame in which to use the chess metaphor, so many moves will have been played by black in linking teroor and depression networks that the chnace of good people's hi-trust visions win-winning out without a semi-permanent era of holocausts, national disatsers, learning slavery etc will be near ground zero.

The smallprint is why I as a city dweller am interested to help transaprently map as much of the diversity and deepest humanity of 2 million global villages as we can all explore through discovery and co-mentoring. Even if you don't believe the urgency of the smallprint, I would ask you what you have to lose in linking in with mapping global villages where you see peoples and cultures that are worthy of blossoming. Here are 2 extracts from the book I co-edited with my in 1984 (more at his 30th birthday party weblog in launching what have become 5 types of entrepreneurial revolutionary from The Economist of 1976)

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE
End of chapter 16:
Sunlight is the fuel which sustains life on earth. The process by which plants extract energy from sunlight, using that energy to build up complex compounds from simper ones and thereby storing the energy which animals, including humans, use to grow and move and see and think is the life-process itself. We (human beings) have always exploited that life-process, but in the past we have only been able to do so by using living plants as our agents. We learned to cultivate them, develop them by selective breeding, and since the 1980s to meddle with their genes, but we have not yet learned to substitute something of our own making for the living plant. We have not found or made a more efficient substitute for chlorophyll itself outside the naturally-occurring factory which is the living cell.

Until we design our own systems which can deploy the energy of sunlight as efficiently as humble algae does, we humans have no real biotechnology of our own. We have many kinds of solar cells which can extract energy from the sunlight and store is as electricity or heat, but such devices are very crude indeed beside the technical sophistication and versatility of living plants.

We are making a determined effort to capture and use a greater fraction of the solar energy which falls upon the face of the earth every day. We are trying to make plants flourish in paces where at present they can only eke out the most precarious of existence. The ideal situation, however, would be one in which we did not need to work so hard to adapt existing plants to more hostile conditions. If we had our own artificial systems of photosynthesis we might exploit the desert sun ourselves, without using other organisms as intermediaries. Our ultimate ambition must be to make artificial photosynthetic systems more efficient than those which have evolved alongside side us throughout the history of life on earth. Then and only then will we be able to claim that we are technologically self-sufficient. In 2024, this looks as if it might be one of our children's tasks.

What does global village mean to transparency mapmakers

We see villages as grounding or gravitating what matters most to people whether their most intimate relationships and future sustainabilties are anchored/by gravity of pace or of networking interest

Global is a way of spreading openly useful projects around the world to every location that may benefit from their action learning

CRISIS OF CONFIDENCE
Although global villages can be the simplest way to navigate map round: everything falls apart if you fail to recognise what starts every double loop off on a healthy directory – village or global

For the 22 years, we have been studying death of distance's waves and entrepreneurial revolutions interconnecting the generation 1984-2024 in the exponential success or failure of global markets, we have never found a case to argue that global comes before villages in sustaining what matters most to people. Except for contexts such as: open media standards and ethical rules such as what 10 comandments should all our culture interact through. In other words the only time that global should be designed as if it precedes the health of local is if it is to be commonly owned between all of humanity anyway. Transparency of human rights infrastructures should be global interconnecting as should the best way of sustaining clean water, clean air etc. Lamgauge such as maths has a valudity in being global.

Otherwise we prefer to benchmark the world’s most wonderful villages as beginning the coordinates worth mapping

As a child I naiively assumed that the most valuable organsiations human beings could design would be the most truthful. In my thirties, I had researched enough going global organisations to have ended my virginity well and truly smashed: indeed I'd wonder what was the last society where the biggest organsiations were also the most truthful.

Anyhow, this is one reason when in 1984 my dad from The Economist co-authored a book on the 2 opposite endings of humanity that networks would system by 2024, the gravities of 2 million global villages played a pivotal role in the positive goodwill scenario. We believed that by 2010, it would be necessary to see a new people's economics emerging - a world trade criss-crossing between villages increasingly sustaining more of the future than nations or any other level at which economics can be mapped. So this weblog has a lot of collaboration work to do. Tell us at wcbn007@easynet.co.uk :
1) if you would like to co-edit this timeless blog; and what compound exponential lens (eg a city or a needs-based view) you will take to mapping village hi-trust gravities around the world
2) where can we all meet: we know 2007 centenary worldwide invitation by Delhi for those who celebrate Gandhi's truth-testing community-up governance models is one stage to be the change at
3) what else like hubs and jams and 30000 open projects do we need to be emerging everyone that cultures want to connect in loving hi-trust value multipliers of human collaboration webs

Why does this blog invite the world's cities - inter-citiizens- to map their collaboration villages taking London as an example? Well there are some reasons and there is practical expediency:

At least 10000 Londoners learnt, many of us connected to a soul 1 2 3 who is no longer with us, from the tube bombings in 7/7 that London has become a test case for the future of all multicultural cities. If we 1 cannot map knowledge collaboration city to be an upcurve network multiplier of all open cities, then the sector multicultural city will lose all transparency and the economics of the world will meltdown. NB Our open source communities of transparency mapmaking are not saying we can wholly do any of this alone , we are looking for similar netizens groups in every city.

However, constitutionally and structurally in terms of World Service Broadcast Media, Britain has invested more than anywhere else in the world in open collaboration. You are reading our language. Our 10000 have Queen Elizabeth as a cheerleader across the Commonwealth and all cross-culturally kindred spirits when she uses her end of year report to demand that we all debate is humanity turning on istelf? I am sure she of all the world's developments, she must thank all our collaboration gods and golden rules for Gandhi's evolution of India. This country has made the second greatest investment in publicly owned broadcasting and it is currently led by the economist with the longest learning curve in why a networked world cannot afford one nation that compounds underclasses within its borders or by externalising to other hemispheres. My family, friends and I also happen to have a memory that the London's Premier School of Economists was set the task to change global/nation power economics to the people's economics by now and can map what influential people in ecosaintjames and Aldwich have not played their full part in making this transformation- and who has bullied them out of the transparency people need mathematicians to map and make simple for all to use.

Personally, I also treasure my life's career opportunities to work in project teams in 30 countries 1. I actually learn more from what economics and reconciliation being advanced by people (colaboration network coordinators) I know in Delhi and Australian and Canadian Cities. And being co-based in London and Washington DC, its becoming ever clearer to me that there are differences in American and English. I am not just talking about the language but the maths. Whilst both sides need to learn about the maths of collaboration, you can see how hard or easy this will be from the decates America's most popular (1.3 book selling: The World is Flat Episode 1) future historian Thomas Friedman animates - eg Green is The Next Red White & Blue, Collaboration is the New Competition, Transparent Mapping around the gravity of China is an interlocal game anywhere can play exponentially well or exponentially badly for huge flows of people.

ER 30th Birthday Party Script ER1 (Entrepreneurial Revolution was born in The Economist, ecosaintajames 1976; is asserted as common rights co-editing propert by ER weblog)
ER1 Understanding why 2 economic revolutions in under 30 years is challenging

If there is anyone reading this whose business sector is still driven by machine age valuation dynamics where the differences people can make does not matter then this discussion is not for you. For the rest of us, it is likely that your future value exponentials (mapped as consequences of productive and demanding system contexts) have revolved beyond machine economy to service economy, and have or will be revolving into network economy.

A user-friendly definition of revolution for preneurs or valuers who use transparency system maps is: what things change from being precisely right to wholly wrong if the valuation integrity of the system is to pass from the lower order value multiplying state to the higher one?

Service Economy
The people not the machines susyan value multiplication

90% of the time lower productivity than elsewhere in the sector is no longer a worker problem but a management or system problem

Intrapreneurs system design the revolution that Great service needs enabling not managing. Why ?
-because a customer knows how a boss treats an employee by the way the employee treats the customer;

Whether Trust (and all positive emotional/relationship energises is going up or down is the simplest measure of whether value multiplication exponentials are upcurving or downcurving – and customers see this every day – do top managers

Network Economy

The network economy’s revolution starts by asking what collaboration multiplies the future of our sector. If there is no collaboration to map, there is no network economy

Collaborations may be with the customer’s knowledge – in this case there is no value future for the company unless customers are being enabled to multiply their own valuetrue

Or collaboration may be to do with death of distance. Innovative examples logged here shows that DoD can mean the economics of your sector is at least as much interlocally driven as nationally driven. That can be a huge conflict to that kind of economist who assumes national gdps add up to world productivity or advises national politicians

Collaboration may be with sustaining societies and communities such as understanding what organisation’s waste output is another organisation’s input or understanding how diseases including extreme poverty will spread across DoD’s interlocally networked world unless we all see the win-wins of healing them.

For changes like these to surround us in under 30 years – ie less than one generation – has no worldwide parallel and only a few place located parallels. As far as I know none of the civilisations where places were challenged by double revolutions sustained without huge dark ages waving over many generations. That’s why 6 billion people need transparency maps, 30000 projects to go from being separated by economies to resolving the human race’s most desperate collective changes first. We are halfway into this game according to our tracking since 1984. The next 5 years are the most crucial. Rich cities become pivotal because as the events of 2005 have shown they are in the front line of all being sustainable or all falling apart. London has a few experiences which cities all over the world can learn from which we have pictured through 5 villages that can network what they know to any city’s corresponding village as well as across London.

Breaking Views from ClubofLondon current #1 in collaboration knowledge city bookmarks (votes over 40 million)

This week saw world water day come and go with less than a ripple. Did Londoners know how they could have contributed more news on this around the world? no matter

Next week is arguably the biggest in the calendar for gifts to the world Londoners as number 1 collaboration knowledge city can start up, and make the next 6 years marathon of make poverty history connect all around the world

With Al Gore visiting the twin cities of London and Oxford, we cannot imagine a better time to Launch the Social Entrepreneur Olympics. The game is to have got 30 gravity pursuits of social entrepreneur world champions into the public consciousness by 2012 as much as the top 30 sports.

All we need is love and courage to cheerlead cross-cultural creativity's waves:

The Livingstone has got us off to a great start; he has declared there will be no sporting Olympics in London in 2012 unless they are carbon free - turn up the heat on every politician since only photosynthesis innovations can produce clean energy of that sustainability magnitude. Make sure all those who host Al Gore events debrief him as the clock to 2012 counts down

The lessons to be learnt from Make Poverty History from pop stars down can be an epiphany if University of Stars and the BBC turn their minds to the greater transparencies (eg end all country corruptions) needed if Make Poverty History is to be a reality network not just an image-making one

So that's 28 more gravity pursuits we need to celebrate around social entrepreneurs with as much gusto as the 20th Century hailed sporting stars

We are reminded of one Harrison Owen story I should tell because open spacing education is a social entrepreneur pursuit every family can stand up for whereas we cannot all help on the ground with projects in Africa or in the roofs that algae use to convert the sunshine into cleansing energy banks.

He was studying to be a priest around the Washington Dc area. It was a time when Martin Luther King was having a dream. Harrison can't recall quite how it happened but he was standing in a civil rights field in a crowd of African Americans - one tall lanky white man. The police were beginning to charge on the crowd and Harrison was feeling quite scared. That is until a 7 year old black girl came up to him - and said Mister will you hold my hand

Since that day, Harrison gave up the priesthood to the chagrin of most of his family. And is one of the handfuls of people who most interconnects conflict resolution facilitators around the world. Their networks criss-cross all religions that believe in golden rules of reciprocity such as so unto another what you want done unto you. They also connect mathematically - if Einstein is correct here at http://clubofdc.blogspot.com - to Gandhi as the greatest inventor of peaceful social entrepreneurial revolution that 144 years of The Economist's coverage of this most productive of all professions.

If some of this post makes sense to you, why not re-edit the parts you like and send it to the board of Governors of the BBC, and should you wish Tony Blair or another politician well with their legacy why not copy them in to. We the British people, not any of our political representatives own the BBC. We have invested way over 50 billion pounds in this corporation. On a personal note to all scots- may I ask whether you feel the inventor of television would feel proud of a television where every big debate is framed one dimensionally around short-term left and right rivals or whomever is looking fore a job with big business if the party does not turn out Trumps for their apprenticeship to network power.

It is high noon for the BBC with its 10 year licence determined by and for the people in the year of 2o06. Please could our world service be one of British Character we can feel both pride and humility in searching for. Please free your journalists for humanity to take a fearless lead in realising this open source script from 1984 , so that trust across peoples everywhere begins to flow through every documentary inquiry that has anything to do with world peace or nightly newscast on poverty's challenges through 2012 - and through these communications help the British to get to know 30 gravity pursuits of Social Entrepreneurs with as much joy and attention as the 30 sports it spend most public licence fees on. Hey when Brits helped to invent most of these sports we surely never intended they would take over from greater British realities of world service, through believing in CommonWealth principles and our Queen's higher order right to ask us as she did in her end of 2005 broadcast to unite in preventing globalisation from turning humanity on itself.

For the same of deeper democracy blossoming and connecting every coordinate on earth, you can also play a jigsaw mapping game aimed at sustaining 2 million global villages. Here's part of my family's tree which may open up some useful connections- what connections could your family tree or that of your peer networks open source. If you can make a "peer or family tree" picture why don't we play the mixed networking games of swap and snap. If we are going to turn around globalisation’s exponentials sustainably in time, we are all going to have to work with whatever grassroots community contexts up we can help each other navigate. No lead is too small as long as it is one you intend to gravitate transparently around as part of you lifelong learning mission. We need to help change children's education now so that the core human rights of freedom and happiness have a chance to breathe nature's clean waters, airs and energies everyone human beings sing her praises. Let's all turn up the courage through every family in the land and into wherever co-mentoring networks in internet space may take A B C D E F you

GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE & INTERNATIONAL VISION

Living up to the School motto of Jai Jagat, CMS education revolves around the twin poles of Godliness and Globalism. The school actively strives to inculcate moral values in children and to shape them into persons with a strong character and outgoing personality. While daily prayer assemblies ensure that children are spiritually nourished, Globalism is inculcated through activities such as CISV camps, ISSE exchanges and various other international events that CMS organises every year to provide an opportunity to children from different cultures and nationalities to come together and experience cross-cultural interaction.
